Silica

Crystalline Silica is a common mineral that is found in many workplace materials such as sand, stone, concrete, brick, and mortar. When workers cut, grind, drill, or crush this material, dust particles in the air can be inhaled, potentially causing lung cancer, silicosis (an incurable and sometimes deadly lung disease), as well as other debilitating respiratory diseases.  If your employees are at risk of crystalline silica exposure, it’s essential that you follow regulatory standards required by OSHA- general industry or construction.  Fox Valley Safety can champion silica training for your employees so you can breathe easier.

TRAINING TOPICS:

  • What is silica?
  • What are the health hazards?

It's Not Just Dust!
